Hey there friends how has your summer been going? So sorry for my long absence! I am looking forward to catching up with you and working towards a more consistent blogging schedule. For those that follow me on Instagram you already know I’ve taken a social media break this summer, I hit a creative funk in the Spring and I just decided to give myself permission to take some time off and enjoy the summer and focus on some projects.
But before I share what we’ve been up to, I thought I’d throw it back a few months and share some highlights from our trip to Walt Disney World.
We were lucky enough to be there during the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival, the highlight of the Festival is the topiaries and gorgeous garden displays. They make Epcot pop with color and add so much to your experience. Since I’ve never met a snack I didn’t love, the outdoor kitchen booths were a must see!
After a long (hot) day of walking around it’s nice to go back & relax we stayed at Marriott’s Grande Vista a few years ago and since we had such a wonderful time on that trip decided to stay there again, it’s a short 15 minute drive to the parks and we had a full kitchen, washer & dryer, and great amenities.
The Grande Vista is a large property with everything you could need to have a relaxing vacation, several outdoor pools, a golf course, restaurants on site, spa, plus very BBQ/picnic areas. (This was not sponsored in any way, just sharing because we had a nice time) What we like is we’re not confined to a cramped hotel room we had a living room and a seperate bedroom with plenty of space to spread out and relax!
After a quick nap and time to cool off… why is Florida so HOT? We headed to the Animal Kingdom. Having grown up going to Disneyland every summer when I was a kid people always ask me my thoughts on Walt Disney World if its the same as Disneyland, do I like one better than the other? My answer every time is they’re just DIFFERENT… with Disneyland everything is so close you can walk to most everything easily, DL has a nostalgia that I love but WDW is so immersive every park has elements of what California has but kicked up a notch. With that being said if I had to pick a fav park in Orlando it would be Animal Kingdom, this park is so gorgeous with it’s lush green trees all around the walkways, it’s truly beautiful. The Kilamanjaro Safari is one of my favorite rides!
To have animals walk up to the trucks is the most amazing experience! After a long hot safari of course you need to cool down… fortunately we saw a long line in front of this pretty blue truck and you know what that means–ICE CREAM!!
This was such a great trip so many great memories there is nothing like a Disney vacation! Thanks so much for stopping by!
xo,
Debbie
